Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino leaves by mutual consent
Argentine coach lasted less than 11 months in charge at Stamford Bridge
Pochettino's availability for immediate hire has put him straight onto both United and Bayern's radar
Mauricio Pochettino has left his position as Chelsea head coach by mutual consent after less than 11 months in charge.
The Argentine coach, who led Chelsea to the Carabao Cup final last season, has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Pochettino's departure comes after a disappointing season for Chelsea, who finished sixth in the Premier League and were knocked out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage.
Pochettino's availability for immediate hire has put him straight onto both United and Bayern's radar. United are on the lookout for a new manager after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked in November, while Bayern are set to part ways with Hansi Flick at the end of the season.
It remains to be seen where Pochettino will end up, but his departure from Chelsea marks the end of an era for the club.
