Man City vs Sparta Prague highlights and reaction
Man City started their pre-season campaign with a 4-1 victory over Sparta Prague which was played behind closed doors in Prague on Tuesday afternoon.
Liam Delap scored the only goal of the game as Manchester City's EDS lost 1-0 to Real Betis in Spain yesterday afternoon.
The match was played in front of a crowd of around 5,000 at the Generali Arena, and it was the first time that the two sides had met since 2010.
Man City took the lead in the 25th minute when Bernardo Silva played a defence-splitting pass through to Erling Haaland, who coolly slotted the ball past Sparta Prague goalkeeper Milan Heča.
Haaland got his second goal just three minutes later, finishing off a flowing move involving Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez.
The champions of the Czech First League pulled a goal back in the 36th minute through Ladislav Krejci, who headed home a cross from the right.
But City restored their two-goal lead just before half-time when Phil Foden finished off a good move involving Haaland and De Bruyne.
Joao Cancelo made it 4-1 in the 52nd minute with a fine left-footed strike from outside the box.
The match was also notable for the debut of new signing Kalvin Phillips, who came on as a second-half substitute.
